Research Seminar​

You will be taking BINF G4099, a 1-point pass/fail Research Seminar each term. Your time to ask smart and accomplished people all manner of annoying questions.

Thesis or Capstone​

Register for “Projects in Biomedical Informatics” (BINF G6001) which you should take after “Research Methods” (BINF G6002). It is taken “at least once” for 3 credits. If you do work with a professor before then, ask if you can enroll for automagic credit. It’s a 3-pointer (you take it just once as an MA student).

Capstone​

For either option, you will fill out this proposal form. You can do the capstone:

  • Within the department with a professor. Fill out form and ask the professor you’re working with to approve.
  • Outside the department (like an internship). Fill out form and ask academic advisor to approve.

The training committee will additionally review your proposal.
