Campuses (Maps 🗺️)
Morningside Heights is the main, famous campus. It's between Broadway and Amsterdam, and 114th and 120th. Here's where you can address a full bladder when you're walking around. Here are some old architectural drawings.
CUIMC is where I'll be spending a lot of my time. It's in Washington Heights on 168th. Here's an overview of what life's like here.
Bringing Family
If you want to want to chill with loved ones on the Morningside campus, you'll need to register them for. See this page for more information. The form itself is here and will require you to log in. You certainly can do same-day registrations in a pinch but I haven't tried this.
Columbia may change the access levels daily. See this page for more info (scroll to the bottom).
Health Stuff
You'll be using the Student Health on Haven link because all you're under the aegis of CUIMC! That is to say, you won't be using secure.health.columbia.edu
.
Fitness
You'll find gyms on 50 Haven at CUIMC (free for students) or Dodge Fitness Center at MorningSide.
Here are CUIMC and Morningside mental health resources.
Insurance
You are automatically enrolled in The Columbia Plan as a full-time student unless you fill a waiver (i.e. you're bringing your own insurance to the party). As of this writing, the plan is $2,044 per semester, and via Aetna. See that linked page for a list of benefits. Get your Insurance Card here.
Dependents
If you have dependents (spouse in my case 🥰) and sign them up, they just double the cost that's billed to you. You will have to fill out a form and send them proof that you're hitched. These are available late July so keep it together until then.
